uBuntu

According to Wikipedia:

Nelson Mandela explained Ubuntu as follows;
A traveller through a country would stop at a village and he didn't have to ask for food or for water. Once he stops, the people give him food, entertain him. That is one aspect of Ubuntu but it will have various aspects. Ubuntu does not mean that people should not address themselves. The question therefore is: Are you going to do so in order to enable the community around you to be able to improve?
Sitting in my favourite coffee shop listening to the conversations around me is what I generally use as motivation to write. With everything happening in 'Twilight Zone' of late I am strangely unable to put any of my own feelings and experiences into words. This is a completely new journey, and one I know I need to write through. It isn't entirely the dreaded *block* that had me on my knees for almost 13 years, this is something different. Labels aside, the world is a worrying affair.

We have an election coming up. Some say it wouldn't change a thing, citing every crap thing that's happened to our country since the last election. Some say it needs to change so we can bump the current government out and start fresh. Some say it's going to get better only after all the whites/blacks/whatever-other-colours are eradicated. Pre-election propaganda; keeping desperate food supply already cleared for ppl in need back, so we can attach our party's name to it thus telling you we are so cool and in control and blah blah... canning our leaders, ripping our rights to shreds blah blah.. the youth league spokes-peanut being made fun of on a national radio station because he didn't know who Obama is (I heard the cast, it's shocking).

Honestly. WTF?
Archbishop Desmond Tutu was quoted:A person with Ubuntu is open and available to others, affirming of others, does not feel threatened that others are able and good, for he or she has a proper self-assurance that comes from knowing that he or she belongs in a greater whole and is diminished when others are humiliated or diminished, when others are tortured or oppressed
WTF happened to our country??
